Prepare your Students for Immunization Day!

Do your students have questions about vaccines?  Are your students anxious about getting vaccinated?

We are here to help you!

The How to Handle Your Shots Like a Champ lesson helps students learn accurate information about vaccines and strategies to make immunization day easier.

This lesson can be taught by a teacher or public health nurse.

Participation is easy!

Work with the public health nurse connected to your school to arrange a time for them to come to your class and teach the lesson. The lesson should ideally be taught within the week leading up to the immunization clinic.

Help us evaluate the lesson and receive a $100 gift card for school supplies for your classroom!

We are looking for teachers with access to computers for their classes to help us evaluate the lesson. To participate in the evaluation, teachers will need to follow the simple steps in the Quick Start Guide to register their class and create a team

By taking the lesson, students:

  • Learn about vaccines, including the HPV vaccine.
  • Learn strategies to cope with anxiety around immunization day and needle fears.
  • Earn vaccines for kids in other countries through a partnership with UNICEF Canada.
