Who We Are
Kids Boost Immunity (KBI) is a Canadian health initiative made possible through a partnership between the Public Health Association of British Columbia, the BC Ministry of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada. KBI is coordinated through the BC Centre for Disease Control.
Kids Boost Immunity would not have been possible without the longstanding support of various representatives across the health sector in British Columbia including the Ministry of Health, PHABC, BCCDC, First Nations Health Authority, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, Interior Health, Vancouver Island Health, Northern Health and the BC Pharmacy Association. This collective is responsible for developing KBI's sister site I Boost Immunity.
Editorial and Content Policy
KBI is dedicated to posting accurate, up-to-date and well-researched information for students and teachers. Our team consists of researchers, marketers, teachers, and healthcare professionals. Content is created and reviewed based on the credibility of the original sources and the objectivity of the findings, and is cross-referenced with the needs of the provincial curriculum.
All content on the site is read and signed off by a minimum of three people consisting of:
- A staff member from the BC Centre for Disease Control or the Public Health Association of British Columbia
- An experienced clinician with relevant expertise (e.g. registered nurse, physician, professor)
- An education professional
By doing so, we are able to curate and create content that is accurate, engaging, and mirrors the curriculum.
We also guarantee that the content is created independently of any funding partners.

Kids Boost Immunity is based on a sister-site called I Boost Immunity (IBI) that utilizes online quizzes to raise literacy about immunization. KBI is tailored for teachers and their classroom, while IBI’s primary target is adults.
