Vaccine Donation Delivery

Kids Boost Immunity works with two global partners–UNICEF and Vaccine Ambassadors–to deliver the vaccines that students earn when completing quizzes on the site. Each organization has a different network for supplying vaccines, but provides the same life-saving immunity to those in need worldwide.

UNICEF Canada

Kids Boost Immunity donates tetanus, polio, and measles vaccines directly through UNICEF Canada. Through UNICEF’s global reach, KBI students are able to provide vaccines worldwide to different countries, communities, and families. UNICEF identifies where the donations are most needed and utilizes their on-the-ground teams to deliver vaccinations. The goal is to increase the availability of vaccines in countries least able to pay for them.

UNICEF works tirelessly to make sure that every child, regardless of where they are, has access to the vaccines they need to not only survive, but thrive. With its partners, UNICEF reaches almost half of the world’s children every year with life-saving vaccines. KBI has worked with UNICEF as a key partner since 2018, and a majority of student donations have been delivered through UNICEF Canada.

Vaccine Ambassadors

A portion of vaccines earned and donated by KBI students this year will be used to protect children residing in Suriname from five life-threatening diseases (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio and hepatitis B). These vaccines will aid in the recovery of national childhood immunization public health programs that have suffered setbacks as a result of the pandemic. Access to life-saving vaccines is a basic human right and we are grateful for the contributions that students and their teachers are making through the KBI program to ensure that more children receive this protection.

These vaccines are donated through our new partnership with Vaccine Ambassadors. Vaccine Ambassadors' funds contribute to the procurement and international logistics of priority vaccines identified in the Pan American Region through a joint initiative with Pan American Health Organization, Facilitating Equitable Access to Vaccines in the Americas.
