To alleviate the problem of students jumping directly to the quiz before learning the lesson content, a teacher has created a resource that requires students to summarize their learning through note-taking. This 'Summary Notes Assignment' resource includes a template, implementation suggestions, criteria and an exemplar for students, and a completed example for Grade 8 Science in BC that includes links to textbook work.
