Using KBI in the social studies classroom

The following is an excerpt from the KBI webinar held on April 21, 2021. 

This is a presentation by teacher Heidi Crowley, who teaches Social Sciences, Geography, History, Civics, and ELA, for grades 7-12. 

Heidi explains how she uses KBI to dive deeply into complicated topics in a cross-curricular way. For her, having an easy-to-use online program that provides all of the necessary materials is key. For students, KBI helps build inquiry/ critical thinking skills, which have empowered them to consider how they can make a positive difference in a number of ways. The examples are truly inspiring!
